A “Lift” from Brazil and a Giveaway

Hello all! Happy humpday… or hump-evening I should say.
A fitting day for this post dedicated to: My humps my humps my humps… more on that in a second ;)

Breakfast this morning was a little bit of a variation from the norm. A small bowl of Nature’s Path Heritage Heirloom Whole Grains cereal topped with strawberries, bananas and almond milk. And a side of scrambled eggies!

No those aren’t bugs on my eggs, they’re Herbes de Provence!

Eggs: I happen to love eggs. Scrambled, poached, sunny side up, in an omelette, you name it, I’ll eat it. However, I actually don’t eat them very often (same with most dairy). But I feel that it is important (for me) to incorporate them into my diet occasionally because of the Vitamin B12. As someone who eats limited animal products I realize I may be lacking in this important vitamin. And since there is a bit of controversy over non-animal derived sources of it, I do occasionally include certain animal products in my diet such as seafood, yogurt, cheese (generally goats cheese) and eggs to keep my B12 in check.

These particular eggs I had were Gold Circle Farms DHA Omega-3 Cage Free eggs. Especially since I eat them rarely I feel that it is worth the extra $ to buy natural, cage-free eggs.

My Humps my humps my (ok you get the picture)

I took a gym class this evening… well a series of classes actually, based around this guy’s Brazilian Buttlift training :)   I saw it on the class schedule and was so intrigued I had to try it. Brazilian Buttlift? Sign me up! And he actually teaches the class which is pretty neat. It was 1.5 hours; the first 30 minutes was abs, the next 30 minutes was the “butt lift” class and the last 30 minutes was upper body conditioning.

Let’s just say… I’m gunna feel this tomorrow :) It burns! In a good way!

In his class he incorporated a lot of simple movements with slight variations and LOTS of repetitions. And he moved through everything very quickly so there were no breaks! he also used lots of dance inspired moves like plies and arabesques to work the derriere.  Overall, I was totally impressed.
