New Shoes and Some Not So Fun News

Happy Friday to you! Hope you had a good week.

First… Some Good News:

Today I spent/am still spending the day with JH!

Even though we live in the same city now, I feel like I still never see her enough, because I lived with her for 3 years :) So anytime I get to spend the day with her, I am very very happy :) .

I went to her place and we chatted for a few hours and had some lunch, then we went downtown where she had a meeting and I went to JackRabbit to get my new running shoes!

I met with a very friendly salesman and let him know what I was looking for.

He put me in a pair of “neutral shoes” and then I hopped on the treadmill so he could see how I ran and what type of shoe I would need.

There’s me running :)

Apparently, contrary to what I believed, I was actually an OVERpronator, rather than an underpronator. HM! Just goes to show, you can’t always trust the wet foot test

He brought out a bunch of pairs for me to try on.

And the ones I liked best?

Lime Green MIZUNO’s!

I’d never heard of Mizuno’s before this and my salesman said they were “ runner’s little secret” because the don’t advertise much and there’s not really any fanfare around the brand (like Nike has) but they’re a fantastic shoe. He said he wears them and loves them.

I agree. When I tried them on and walked around, I didn’t notice anything special. But I really liked the color :) But then when he put me back on the treadmill, I noticed how GREAT they felt. Very supportive, comfortable and super light. Yay for Mizuno’s!

Here they are!

Love them!

And now, the not so fun news:

It looks like my poor computer didn’t make it :( Apparently the CPU (Central Processing Unit) doesn’t work anymore.  Unfortunately it will cost me a lot of money to fix and they think I would be better off getting a new computer. So I guess that’s what I have to do, and soon because I can’t stand using BF’s computer anymore!

So…Farewell Pink Computer :(

I’m think I may want to get an Apple. I’m not sure though. Do they work with Window’s Live Writer? I’m also thinking about a Toshiba or an HP.

Any laptop suggestions for me? What kind of computer do you have?

Hope you have a great weekend!

I have an Apple and LOVE it. You will never go back once you get one. But it does not run Windows Live Writer.
