That would be a notebook filled with class notes!
I am back in NYC because… I was accepted into a school here to take my science pre-requisites! If you’re new, or haven’t read my about me (which I guess I have to change soon!) I am hoping to get my Masters of Science in Nutrition and become an R.D. Although I took lots of neuroscience and biology for my Psych degree, I am lacking the proper chemistry, anatomy, physiology and intro nutrition courses to enter many Masters programs. Therefore, I need to take them! And I’m so happy I get to take them here!
I’m officially a FRESHMAN again
My very first class was Nutrition. (!!!) Can you feeeel my excitement! In university I wasn’t as focused/excited about learning as I should have been. But I already know that this time around will be VERY different. Even though my prof was a bit of a goofball, he was so nice and definitely knew his stuff. SO I was thrilled to be learning even the basics. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with you!
Also, I thought I would introduce you to my new computer. I have very bad luck with electronics (except for my ipod, that I’ve had for almost 5 years now…which is kind of a record for me!), so we got a great computer that will hold up and an extended warranty, because we know what happens with me and electronics
So, here she is:
It’s an HP Pavillion dv7, and so far, I REALLY like it. It works perfectly for what I need. I better get comfy with it, because I am planning to keep this computer for a looonnnng lonnnng time!
BF and I are off to make a meal plan and do a grocery shop because our fridge is in a bit of a sad state at the moment.
Yeah… we better hurry!
Have a great night!
What was your major in college? Did you like it?

I’ve been contemplating the RD thing, but I’m in the middle of a MA in English program, and I would literally have to start ALL OVER to get an RD. I don’t think I want to be in school that much longer
Maybe I can just live vicariously through you?

Rachel: I don’t think it’s ever too late to switch into something you really want to do! An MA in English sounds great though! And you can always take nutrition courses.
