A Cacao-y Valentine’s Giveaway

lotion

I write a “Healthy Living” blog and therefore try to practice what I preach by “living healthfully”.

When I started becoming interested in healthier, organic and just plain old good for you things, I only made an effort with food.
It took me a while and lots of research/reading to realize that what you put ON your body is just as important as what you put IN your body.

A quote from Crazy Sexy Life on beauty product research…

…Many of the products, from body spray to shampoo, contain parabens, a chemical that acts like estrogen in the body. In all, the 18 body-care products used… contain roughly 200 synthetic chemicals that [they] are putting on their bodies each day before breakfast. This daily dose includes dozens of chemicals linked to cancer, skin problems, allergies and hormone disruption, according to an analysis of a typical suite of these products on the Skin Deep database.

The Skin Deep database that they mention is The Environmental Working Group‘s searchable database of toxic ingredients in cosmetic and personal care products. It is kind of crazy how many toxic ingredients we slather all over our bodies, faces and heads without even a second thought. Check out the products you use and you will be astounded.

Well, with all this in mind, I have a very special treat for you. Remember when I wrote about my love for How Now Brown Cacao body dessert?

Well, just in time for Valentine’s Day YOU are getting a chance to win some!!!

How Now Brown Cacao is made by Simply Divine Botanicals, a company devoted to “handcrafted, chemical free skin care”. It is “a yummy, skin softening body dessert made with raw cacao and nourishing oils”. Its ingredients are minimal and wonderful and include Organic Raw Cacao Butter, Organic Virgin Coconut Cream and Organic Avocado Oil.

And as I wrote before: It is RICH and CHOCOLATEY and you can pretty much eat it! It’s super moisturizing and I wear it as “perfume” because it smells so HEAVENLY!

Want to know how you can win a jar of this delectable treat?

**Leave me a comment below telling me your favorite chocolate-y dessert**

For extra entries you can tweet about the giveaway or blog about the giveaway (let me know in the comments)

I will announce the winner the morning of Valentine’s Day!

This sounds like a great product! Love Crazy Sexy Life. My favorite chocolate would have to be a chocolate cupcake from sugar sweet sunshine. The frosting has a slight almond flavor to it, and the cake is perfectly moist.

(Jen: “My one favorite chocolate-y thing? that’s like…almost impossible”)
A delicious dark chocolate and/or flavored chocolate bar always does the trick for me. I like Equal Exchange Mint chocolate. There’s this yummy chocolate maker located a block away from me called Taza who does direct exchange with their cacao source. Their cinnamon chocolate bar makes a delish Mexican hot chocolate. And the ice cream parlor up the street uses Taza 80% dark chocolate for one of their chocolate ice creams!
So yeah, to put it as Jen does, there’s no way to choose *just* one.
